Volunteering Overview

Welcome to The Coaches/Volunteers Application Process with Adams County Youth Wrestling (ACYW); “KEYSTONE STARS” Wrestling Program!

Upon clicking the Electronic Application Button you will be able to submit key contact credentials, and Apply to become a Volunteer.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in service to others! Volunteers do not always necessarily have extra time, they just have a desire to help others. They realize that there’s limited time to make a huge impact on little lives, so getting involved is just a starting point ?”

At Adams County Youth Wrestling (ACYW) we rely heavily on support from our local community and wrestling parents (“Our Wrestling Family”). As an independent club (non-scholastic/no ties to a School District), we receive all proceeds from Private Donations and our self-generated Fundraising efforts. Therefore, our #1 resource is that of our volunteers.

We believe that in order to crate a more well-rounded, inclusive Wrestling Family, it’s our job to involve as many of our Family Members as possible. Everyone matters, and the more we do together, the more we can accomplish!

Furthermore, as a private club we are not limited or hampered in regards to how we choose to utilize our resources. In addition, we don’t have to pay many of the fees normally associated with scholastic club programs, and therefore we can focus more on enriching our children’s wrestling experience, as opposed to fundraising for up line costs.

As such, we ask each family to volunteer in several of the key areas listed below, if their time permits. Please indicate if you are able & willing to help our wrestling family out in any of these key areas, and Apply Today!

This list is just an overview of some of the types of roles that are currently available to Volunteers with ACYW/Keystone Stars:

• Coaching and/or Team Mom
• Volunteer Coordinator (working with all Volunteers/Tracking)
• Sponsorship (Gaining New “Sponsors”)
• Fundraising (Arranging/Collecting/Distributing, etc.)
• Photo/Video (Memorabilia/Team Pics)
• Video/Photography (for Social Media & Coaching/Critiquing)
• Events (Team Building/Fun Time)
• Athletic Events Planner (Planning Tournaments/Matches)
• Bracket Tracking/Statistician
• Snacks/Refreshments (Practices & Events) • Marketing/Advertising
• Uniforms/Apparel (Club Store/Fulfillment & Tracking, etc.)
• Treasurer (Tracking $$)
• Secretary (Announcements, Collecting/Distributing Forms, etc.)
• Audio (Music Itinerary Practices/Matches)
• B-Day Tracking (Announcements/Celebrations after Practices, etc.)
• Social Media Partner (posting)
• Webpage Development Partner
• Prizes (Categories/Presentation – weekly, monthly, annually, ceremonies, etc.?)
• Parent Representative/Club Liaison (help to keep lines of communication Open & MOST beneficial for kids!)
